ECO-RESPONSIBLE HOTEL IN LYON:
HOTEL VICTORIA LYON CENTER OBTAINS THE GREEN KEY LABEL
We are pleased to announce that our establishment, the VICTORIA LYON CENTER hotel, has obtained the La Clef Verte label this year, the first national and international environmental label for tourist accommodation!
We are proud to be one of the Clef Verte 2024 winners in Lyon!
Your stay in our eco-responsible hotel in Lyon, certified Green Key
Obtained this year, following an approach initiated by our management, the green key label is a philosophy to which the entire team of the Victoria Lyon Center Perrache Confluence hotel adheres. The label meets strict criteria described in specifications common to all countries of the European Union.
The members of the team promote energy saving, good water and waste management on a daily basis, as well as raising staff awareness of improving the local environment so that your stay is responsible.
What is the Clef Verte label?
The network of La Clef Verte / The Green Key, the leading national and international environmental label, welcomes nearly 2,300 establishments on 5 continents, including more than 600 winners in all regions of France.
The label is awarded to tourist accommodation (campsites, hotels, lodges, guest houses, tourist residences) and restaurants which demonstrate efficient, continuous and dynamic environmental management to an independent jury of experts.
The jury is made up of tourism and environment experts and professionals in the sector. Their authority in the field of sustainable tourism represents a strong guarantee of confidence for professionals engaged in the Green Key approach and for responsible vacationers, like our eco-responsible hotel in Lyon.

Water is a precious resource, sometimes even a luxury in some countries, so let's save it!
During a hotel stay, a guest consumes an average of 400 liters of water per day. So you might as well avoid letting the water run while brushing your teeth, for example, using a toothbrush saves 10,000 liters of water per person per year.
Washing a towel requires a significant amount of water, electricity and detergent... You might as well change it only when it's really necessary! We can keep the towels for several days (see our instructions)
We can choose the shower rather than the bath. A shower consumes 5 times less water than a bath (50/250 litres). Here it is automatically a shower!
The toilet bowl cannot accommodate waste (tampons, nappies, medicines) which alter the operation of the treatment plant and risk being discharged into the natural environment in a badly degraded manner. Stay vigilant!
Our waste is also increasing!
According to various sources, a hotel-restaurant produces approximately 5.5 m3 of waste per year and per room. Add wastewater, you will arrive at approximately 90 m3 annually per room. Our establishment sorts waste, help us! Together we can reduce our waste at source (choose products without too much packaging and which have traveled little!).
Without energy, there is no life!
Our hotel is equipped with low consumption light bulbs and presence detectors have been installed throughout the building. When you leave your room, remember to turn off the electricity by removing your key from the box. Did you know that turning off the television standby during the night generates savings equivalent to its operation for 2 films?
The Hotel Victoria is committed to preserving the environment and has implemented sustainable actions:
- Sorting waste / plastics / cardboard / glass / cartridges, batteries, light bulbs
- The entire establishment is equipped with low consumption LED lamps in order to consume energy reasonably.
- all our rooms are equipped with hydro-efficient hand showers and aerators.
- Sheets are changed every 3 days in rooms that stay several nights (unless requested)
- Use of several ecolabel certified cleaning products
Your actions matter:
- In order to limit water consumption, we invite our customers not to change the bathroom linen every day. Our housekeeping team will only change your towels if you drop them on the floor in the shower.
- Please check that the sink and shower taps are closed before leaving your room.
- In order to save energy, for stays longer than one night, you can refuse housekeeping service by hanging the DO NOT DISTURB door tie.
- We invite you to turn off the lights in your room and unplug your devices when you are not in the room.
- Do not hesitate to bring your recyclable waste to reception.
- - Use public transport to get around. Metro station (A) and Tramway (T1+T2) 100 meters from the Hotel. TCL tickets on sale at the Hotel reception (subject to availability). Velo'v station (self-service bicycle) nearby.
