Traboules of Lyon
A great curiosity of the architecture in Lyon, to be discovered during your stay at the Hotel Victoria!
The word "traboule" historically comes from the Latin word "transambulare", meaning passing through. The traboules of Lyon are small passageways between the buildings to get from one street to another, like a tunnel in a big cheese.
These passageways form a true maze, and were used by the resistance of Lyon during WWII.
Their particular character make them fun to explore, and you’ll be charmed by the mystery of this unique place!
